Project management is the application of processes, methods, skills, knowledge and experience to achieve specific project objectives according to the project acceptance criteria within agreed parameters. Project management has final deliverables that are constrained to a finite timescale and budget.
Project Management
Lead & Support
The Project Management method provide guidance on how to apply consistent project management discipline to the execution of a project throughout its life cycle (Initiate Project, Plan Project, Execute Project, Monitor and Control Project, and Close Project).

Method Overview
Previously mentioned process groups are here shown in a sequential order however project activity can force one or many process groups to interact at the same time. Some process group(s) and activities might not be applicable depending on project circumstances (i.e., a project being planned moves straight to ‘Close Project’ process due to funding issues).
Initiate the Project
Define a new project or a new phase of an existing project by obtaining authorization to start the project or phase. Within this process, the initial scope is defined, and initial financial resources are committed, project manager assigned, and internal and external stakeholders defined.
Plan the Project
Establish the scope of the project, refine the objectives, and define the course of action required to attain the objectives that the project is undertaken to achieve. Planning processes develop the project management plan and the project documents that will be used to carry out the project.
Execute the Project
Deliver the work defined in the project management plan. This process involves coordinating people and resources, managing stakeholder expectations, as well as integrating and performing the activities of the project in accordance with the project management plan.
Monitor and Control the Project
Track, review, and regulate the progress and performance of the project; identify any areas in which changes to the plan are required; and initiate the corresponding changes. The key benefit of this process is that project performance is measured and analyzed at regular intervals, appropriate events to identify variances from the project management plan.
Close the Project
Finalize all activities across all areas to formally close the project or phase. Closing the project consists of those processes performed to conclude all activities to formally complete the project, phase, or contractual obligations.
